CISU - Civil Society in Development
An Association of Danish CSOs Working in Development
CISU - Civil Society in Development is an independent association of 260+ small and medium sized Danish Civil Society Organisations, CSOs. All members are engaged in development work in Asia, Africa or Latin America - either as their main focus or as part of their activities.
The key objectives of CISU are to build capacity among Danish CSOs and to support the continuous development of Danish CSO partnerships with partners in the South, and to safeguard the interests of small CSOs in a Danish political context (lobby and advocacy).
The Civil Society Fund is a special funding mechamism for Danish CSOs, which supports their projects and partnerships with local CSOs in developing countries. The Civil Society Fund is financed by The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and administered by CISU.
CISU is supporting the member organizations with advice and training, and we administer the Project Fund on behalf af the Danisk Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
CISU is located in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city.
Until April 2012 CISU was known as PATC - the Project Advice and Training Center.
CISU is an association of more than 250 Danish NGOs.
