    Intervention application assessment

To apply for DERF funding for an intervention, a project, there must be an open call for applications. You can find information about the current and past calls for applications in the DERF Overview.

Read about the intervention application assessment process and find formats below.

NB: To apply for DERF funding you must have your organisational capacity assessed. This can be done prior to an application for a humanitarian intervention or parallel, the organisational capacity assessment process and formats can be found here.

    Applications for humanitarian interventions

Applications must always be submitted within an open call for applications, i.e. to a humanitarian crisis eligible for DERF funding.

You can find information about the current and past calls for applications in the DERF Overview.

Please note, that implementation of the humanitarian intervention must start before the appeal is outdated. The time frame for each humanitarian crisis will be noted in the specific call for applications.

If your organisation - due to your local presence in partner countries - has knowledge about a humanitarian crisis which the DERF has not been alerted about, you can alert the DERF.

    Before applying for DERF funding:

Please read the DERF Funding Guidelines and the Administrative and Financial Guide for DERF Grant Management.

    Two different processes:

All Danish CSOs without a humanitarian partnership agreement (non-HPA CSOs) are in principle eligible for DERF funding. You can apply for a pre-qualification at anytime. And for funding of an intervention when there is an open call, if your organisation is not pre-qualified, you need to have you organisational capacity assessed along site the application for a humanitarian intervention.

    When can implementation start

The application must be approved and the contract with CISU signed before implementation of a humanitarian intervention can start. Please note that implementation must start no later than 7 work days after you have received the first fund disbursement.
