An Association of Danish CSOs Working in Development
CISU - Civil Society in Development is an independent association of 270+ small and medium sized Danish Civil Society Organisations, CSOs. All members are engaged in development work in Asia, Africa or Latin America - either as their main focus or as part of their activities.
CISU backs Danish organisations’ national and global
efforts for a just and sustainable world. CISU serves as a
platform for exchanging experiences and sharing
knowledge. We build capacity, promote mutual learning
and innovative thinking, and strengthen popular
participation in development cooperation. We administer
public funds and seek to ensure resources for a multiplicity
of organisations and interventions. CISU defends member
organisations’ shared interests and the space for civil
CISU's strategy for 2014-17 aims at supporting the capacity, opportunities and interventions or our members.

CISU is an association of more than 270 Danish NGOs.
CISU is supporting the member organizations with advice and training, and we administer the Civil Society Fund on behalf af the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
CISU is located in Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city.
Until April 2012 CISU was known as PATC - the Project Advice and Training Center.
