Overordnede mål
The overall objective of this project is increased access to sustainable energy and other climate solutions to local communities in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania with both women's and men's full and effective participation and leadership for improved livelihoods and reduction of poverty.
Umiddelbare mål
Empower poor, rural communities in three districts in Uganda and in East Africa more generally to get access to clean energy and improved livelihoods. Strengthen national CSO networking and advocacy for increased targets and financing of local, sustainable climate and energy solutions. Strengthen networking and participation of East African CSOs for exchange of experiences.

Resume
Med projektet ”Østafrikanske Civilsamfund for bæredygtig energi og klimaindsats” vil vi kombinere en lokal indsats i Uganda for bæredygtig energi til at reducere fattigdommen med indsatser i Kenya, Tanzania og Uganda for at udbrede kendskabet til de lokale, bæredygtige løsninger og advokere for dem i nationale strategier og i internationale klimaforhandlinger. Den lokale indsats i tre distrikter i Uganda skal benytte træning af trænere, involvering af både ledere og lokalsamfund samt grundig opfølgning. Det skal sikre udbredelse af træplantning til brænde og frugt, bedre køkkenhaver, bedre brændekomfurer, solenergi og adgang til vand. De lokale resultater skal indgå i et online katalog med instruktion i brug af lokale løsninger via mobiltelefoner. De skal også bruges til fortalervirksomhed i de tre lande for at få de lokale løsninger og reduktion af fattigdom prioriteret i nationale klimastrategier (NDC’er) og i klimaforhandlingerne, som skal sikre international klimabistand.
