Overordnede mål
To increase the capacity of duty bearers and stakeholders to fight human trafficking in the grassroots by providing them with the right information and tools about trafficking and how to protect victims of trafficking.
Umiddelbare mål
? After one year we will have launched 40 workshops to train first responders. Each workshop will have 15 participants. ? After one year we will have videos with victim stories in order to raise more awareness about human trafficking since it has been seen as a powerful tool to do so. ? After one year we will have a toolkit to help mobilizers to work more effectively in their communities. ? After one year we will have a Best Practice- manual for different stakeholders in order to raise awareness and tell about the best practices for the protection of victims and reintegration into the community.
Målgrupper
The project’s target groups are the following: ? Victims of trafficking (VOT), who will be identified by reaching the grassroots communities through workshops. The target group are both men and women. However, since the majority of victims are women, these will be the main target group. ? 450 first responders will be targeted for workshops on human trafficking and how to work together to protect victim of trafficking in their community. The first responders will include local government leaders like the chiefs, district children officer, social workers, religious leaders and community based organisation leaders. These are people who in most cases will be the first to handle a trafficking case, in case it is reported. ? Participants in workshops will get to hear real stories from victims through the videos developed to learn more about human trafficking and to be able to protect themselves from trafficking.

Det overordnede formål med projektet er at konsolidere partnerskab mellem HopeNow og HAART. Projektets fokus er en forstærket indsats mod menneskehandel i Kenya. Projektets delmål er kapacitetsopbygning at et socialt udsat lokalområde gennem målrettet arbejde med lokale myndighedspersoner og nøgle aktører som primær målgruppe. Arbejdet vil koncentreres om forebyggelse af menneskehandel med vægt på information om ”sikker rejse” gennem informationskampagner i lokalsamfundet. Endvidere vil der blive produceret en film, som bygger på tidligere ofres egne erfaringer. Projektets tilgang bygger på at mobilisere kræfter i lokalsamfundet til aktivt at tage del i forebyggelsesarbejdet. Der vil også sættes fokus på hvordan man kan styrke og rehabilitere ofre udsat for menneskehandel på en måde som gør dem i stand til at komme videre i deres liv og tage kontrol over deres situation.
