Overordnede mål

The long term objective of the project partners is to contribute to poverty reduction and climate action by promoting and implementing a village-based development concept with local solutions that limit greenhouse gas emissions (mitigate climate change) and adapt to climate change in South Asia.

Umiddelbare mål

In this proposed short term intervention the objective is thus to strengthen the Eco-Village Development (EVD) concept to be ready for further upscaling in South Asia. This will be realised by building capacities of partners and networks to scale up the concept, including new climate zones, and by testing new structures for further upscaling (as social enterprises). In this way, the intervention will address some of the gaps in the implementation of the concept identified by the partners and other stakeholders.
