Overordnede mål

Community structures based on the society guarantee that children and youth in 5 regions in Honduras have a sound character and live in communities based on transparency.

Umiddelbare mål

Immediate Objective 1: The key educational structures, based on the Secretary of Education (SoE) and the Educational Networks (EN), are spearheading the school-based focus on transparency. Immediate Objective 2: 9000 people from 30 communities are inspired to promote good citizenship through the examples of Transparency Schools. Immediate Objective 3: The transparency material serves as the foundation of learning and character building in trust and transparency within and out of school.

Målgrupper

Primary: 7000 students 75 student councils 450 teachers and School Directors 5 mayors/Municipalities 9000 parents 30/6000 communities/community members The primary target group will come from 70% urban and 30% rural areas. Secondary: 2000 students 300 teachers 5000 people reach through socialmedia campaign 18000 community members who are in the inner circle of the 6000 community members reached through community activities 500.000 people hearing about the national competition 1 million children and adolescents have access to video smartphone app/video game.

Resume

Through regional educational networks, RVH and the Secretariat of Education will ensure that Transparency Schools serve as a reference point for 30 communities in Honduras. 75 student councils and 150 school authorities will ensure that 9000 children and 9000 parents interactively learn about civic education, trust and transparency. 20 social audits will be carried out in schools and municipalities and 6000 community members will be affected. In addition, the student councils as rights holders will keep the relevant duty bearers accountable for school equipment they are missing. Previously created and printed school material will be made accessible for teachers all over the country through a teaching app, and video and/or board games will help forming a transparent characters. The secondary target group consist of more than 500.000 who will be reached through national competitions, facebook campaigns. The intervention builds on valuable lessons learnt from the 15-1708-SP-sep-project.
