Resume

The project ‘Standing Together’ addresses the needs and constraints of Children and People with Disabilities and their families to improve access to health and social protection services, through a coordinated multi-stakeholder approach in Tajikistan. The project takes place in under-served areas of Khatlon region, with 2 main local partner organisations. It will improve service provision standards, access to health and social protection services, as well as building parent support groups and networks and undertaking advocacy. The project builds civil society capacity to hold duty-bearers accountable for fulfilment of rights of children/ persons with disabilities, using a rights-based approach, with a focus on commitments made under Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and SDGs. Training of government employees will promote empowerment, participation and non-discrimination of people with disabilities, children & youth, and women as particularly vulnerable groups.
