Resume

Khovgol Dairy Project is a small and very targeted project aimed to help the cooperative Sarlagiin Saikhan Khishig (Blessed by the Yak), comprised by nomadic herders from Northern Mongolia, to improve their cooperation and dairy production to generate an income and improve their livelihood. The project is a collaboration between Dairy without Borders, Architects without Borders and the National Dairy Development Board of Mongolia. This intervention is a continuation of our joint efforts for the past two years, where we have made some steady although slow progress. Appreciating the results so far, we now wish to increase our intervention with a two-pronged approach: Strengthen the organization and cooperation among nomadic herders in Khatgal; and Improve the quality of their milk production and dairy products. With the overall objective to Reduce poverty and improve income opportunities for herders in Khatgal, Khovsgol in Mongolia.
