Overordnede mål

The overall objective of this intervention is to reduce and prevent the spread of STIs/HIV-AIDS among the school youths who are the primary target group and indirectly the larger population of Danyi District, Togo. Hence, the project hope to meet the 3rd Sustainable Development Goals which is to ensure all citizens living healthy lives and promote healthy well-being for all at all ages. Furthermore, the impacts will reduce youth related STIS/HIV AIDS by a good margin by the end and after the implementation. We will ensure that the school youth and young people put emphasis on the use of precautions leading to less unwanted pregnancies among young girls.

Umiddelbare mål

1. By January 2020, Peer Educators are able and equipped to train other peers and school youth and create 1 club of 80 students in each of the 8 schools. 2. By January 2020, 2058 school youth in Danyi has increased awareness of STIs /HIV-AIDS. 3. By January 2020, students and teachers will conduct a consensus workshop to advocate for the inclusion of STIs / HIV-AIDS prevention in their extra-curricular programs.

Målgrupper

The primary target groups are: 1. 2058 youth from 8 senior and junior high schools, between the ages of 14-20, with an equal gender distribution. 2. 207 Teachers. (16 teachers that are directly involved) and the and the remaining 191 teachers which are indirectly part of the project. 3. 25 000 people will be reached through media Papers in Danyi district alone. 4. 2 Million people to be reached through National TV and journalistic pieces
