The proposed intervention will contribute to the efforts for supporting drought affected households in Karamjoa with its focus on: 1) filling acute food gaps among the Severely Food Insecure/EVHs and moderately food-insecure households through timely and effective food distribution; and 2) preventing excessive malnutrition among Severely Food Insecure while at the same time contributing to addressing the root causes of food insecurity and poverty by creating public assets and community infrastructure through conditional food transfers Napak and in Nakapiripiritti; 3) supporting the communities towards improved local governance and empowerment by strengthening the capacity of the communities in aspects of improved Hygiene practices, Human rights, Gender and sustainable agronomic practices.
