Resume

Overall outcome: Contributing to make the most vulnerable IDP and Host communities in (and around) Hargeisa more resilient to the severe consequences of the ongoing drought in the Horn of Africa and climate change, through a youth led climate change adaptation (CCA) initiative for soil & water conservation, water harvesting and urban gardening. Direct outcome 1.: Most vulnerable IDP and host communities in Digaale IDP camp have established water harvesting structures in and mainly around the IDP camp, and been trained in soil & water conservation and water harvesting techniques and become more resilient to drought, massive land degradation and flash floods. Direct outcome 2.: “Urban gardens” established on pilot plot in Digaale IDP camp and IDP and host communities, have been trained, learned urban gardening techniques and gardens being enhanced to become potential source of nutrition and income.
