The knowledge, awareness, attitudes and practices of reproductive health and sexuality among female and male students at Vietnamese Universities have changed and increased
Umiddelbare mål
1. New youth friendly SRHR information material and training methods have been developed. 2. New SRHR education has been implemented at TNU. Counseling is performed by teachers, health staff, YU, SA in a both friendly and non-discriminatory way based on improved knowledge sharing on sexual practices among TNU students 3. The CGFED, TNU, SA and YU have strengthened their legitimacy and ability as advocates of students needs on SRHR issues.
Målgrupper
Primary target groups 1. Female and male students at the five universities. It is estimated that the project should target around 1000-1200 students all members of SA and YU 2. The Students Association (SA) and the Youth Union (YU) a. Advocates of the youth’: In the task force they will present ‘youth views’, ‘youth standards’, ‘youth values’ and ‘youth language’ when the SRHR teaching material and methodology are discussed and concluded. b. ‘Development agents’: Promoting and advocating for the SRHR message among their fellow students and to other civil society youth organisations Secondary target groups: 1) Health care staff and the group of TNU teachers, who will receive training in teaching the new SRHR education. It is estimated that the project should target 100 key university lecturers and health staff. 2) Policy and decision makers at the local and national level, incl. Women’s Union, Ministry of Health (MoH), Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), UNICEF and UNFPA.
Resume
Pilotprojekt på Thai Nguyen Universitet (TNU) for udvikling af seksualundervisning til 18-24 årige kvinder og mænd. I dag er emnet tabubelagt, seksualundervisning er et frivilligt fag, undervisningsmateriale og -metoder er u-pædagogiske. Samtidig er antallet af uønskede graviditeter blandt 18-24 årige foruroligende højt og voksende. Første projektmål er - gennem aktiv inddragelse af studenter og studenterorganisationer - at udvikle en ny undervisningsmetode og nyt materiale, der tager højde for den virkelighed målgruppen lever i. Andet projektmål er implementeringen af den nye seksualundervisning på TNU. Tredje projektmål er at styrke CGFEDs og TNUs studenter- ungdomsorganisationers legitimitet som målgruppens fortalere i spørgsmål der vedrører seksualpolitik og -undervisning. Herved styrkes samarbejdet mellem det offentlige og civilsamfundet. Udviklingsmålene er en ændret seksualadfærd og øget brug af prævention blandt unge vietnamesere, samt at sikre en fortsat dialog på området mellem myndigheder og unge.
