Resume

Following the tropical storm Ana, initial scoping and liaison with local stakeholders has established that there is a currently a critical need to provide urgent subsistence, nutrition and healthcare support to 145 vulnerable households, who are currently homeless and living in six temporary camps in Western Province Zambia. Within these camps, many individuals are highly likely to have additional vulnerability due to ongoing sickness and malnutrition however the government is unable to link these individuals to appropriate services. The vulnerability of all these individuals requires 1) immediate delivery of basic food and sanitation supplies to all homeless individuals 2) rapid clinical assessments by a small team to identify individuals with additional vulnerabilities who may require either urgent clinical care by way of additional nutritional supplementation and/or support in linking to healthcare services that they have been geographically cut off from due to flooding.
