Resume

The intervention builds on the strong partnership that exists between Dreamtown and Justice for Children (JCT) who currently collaborates on a number of different interventions in Zimbabwe. On of the interventions takes place in the city Mutare, which is situated in the heart of Manicaland, which is, as mentioned in the DERF call, one of the districts affected the most by the Tropical Storm Ana. The intervention targets the two communities, Mutasa and Nyanga, which are amongst the worst affected areas in Manicaland. The intervention is implemented together with the two community partners Chiedza Community Welfare Trust (Chiedza) and Nyanga Community Development Trust (NCDT) who are located directly within Mutasa and Nyanga respectively. The intervention provides a holistic rapid response, covering the areas of protection (Outcome 1); health (Outcome 2) and food and livelihood (Outcome 3). The total direct target group is 2000 people.
