AIP Foundation Denmark

Each year, more than 1.35 million people die from traffic crashes on the world’s roads and over 50 million people are seriously injured. AIP Foundation Denmark is established to help to prevent road injuries and fatalities in developing countries, where 90% of road traffic crashes occur. We implement right-based interventions for positive policy and behavior changes affecting the larger population, particularly among the poor and vulnerable. Members of AIP Denmark have relevant areas of expertise including road safety project management, gender equality, road safety communication, advocacy, policy development, road safety engineering, public & private sector partnerships, enforcement, data collecting, human & labor rights, and project monitoring and evaluation. All board members and a number of members have worked extensively on road safety and relevant development projects and programs in developing countries on all continents. Our work contributes directly to SDGs.
