Resume

The project will contribute to ATHENA becoming a well-established and well-resourced African based global feminist network with robust systems to support adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in their diversity, in their advocacy to influence decision making regarding HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and Gender Based Violence (GBV). The project will contribute to bridging the gap between lived experiences by AGYW and policy development and engagements at local, national, regional, and international levels on SRHR, HIV- and GBV prevention. Advocacy will be carried out at the Commission of the Status of Women in 2024 (CSW68), SDG processes in 2024 and/or ICPD+30. And a strategy process for ATHENA will be carried out as well as efforts to strengthen their fundraising efforts.
