Around 80.000 families are affected by the Cyclone Gaja. The Intervention will take place in 7 selected fishing villages with small scale fishing families. They have lost their income and many experienced damaged houses, fishing equipment and boats. Children has lost their school bags, books, notebooks and stationaries. The families have no means to procure the most nessesary items.. There are many single parent families and Dalits in the area.. We intend to secure 1700 families with Relief kits, Sanitary Products, School Kit for children, Relief cash for women fishworkers, solar lamps for 2355 families and Medical Camps for check-ups on health and prevention.
