Resume

The purpose of the intervention is to strengthen local community members’ and duty bearers’ knowledge on climate change and engage them in local climate adaptive initiatives. The elected officials and duty bearers of Ratnanagar Municipality will through training and workshops gain knowledge and tools, which make them better equipped for developing local climate action plans. School children and teachers will be trained to develop awareness raising materials and arrange tree plantation and other events in the local community Eco-Park, which will become a learning space for schools and other visitors. Through these activities and radio programs, community members will increase their knowledge on climate change. DIB and WCN will also collect data from local communities, schools and stakeholders to create a common understanding of the local situation between the partners and build a foundation for future interventions.
