Resume

Nebbi district experiences adverse climate challenges. This has led to increased food insecurity, extreme poverty, and environmental degradation. Primarily due to: Limited awareness about climate change and government policies; Limited technical capacity and access to improved technologies; and limited livelihood diversification opportunities. A previously approved SECAP project aimed to organize smallholder farmers in Jafurnga and Ngali villages and actions that would improve their livelihoods. This project aims to develop two climate resilient villages that serve as models for replication. To be achieved through consolidating Climate Resilient Action Groups to champion Climate Resilient Model Villages where sustainable agricultural intensification, livelihood diversification and conservation of the environment and biodiversity are a norm. The CREMOV project targets primarily these smallholder farmer households’ endeavour to improve their livelihood adaptive capacity in the villages.
