This intervention will reach out to vulnerable flood affected people in Borena Zone, Oromia State, Ethiopia. During October and November 2019 severe flooding occurred in Afar, Oromia, SNNP and Somali regions displacing thousands, putting the lives of the affected population at risk and caused loss of property and livelihoods. The communities are vulnerable and in need of Rapid response as they lost everything they have and became destitute. The situation endangers their lives and their wellbeing. The overall goal for this intervention are to save the lives and Mitigate the effects of Flooding on Agro- Pastoralist communities in Ilamu and Boku villages Miyo District, Borena Zone, Oromia. The interventions aim at Improving wellbeing, protection and living conditions of the affected communities by providing needed NFI kits, Cash transfer and Hygiene & Sanitation sensitization.
