Resume

With this intervention, Taawon Welfare Association (Taawon) will prepare and deliver winterisation and emergency food items to IDP families inside Gaza. The intervention will consider the local markets, which is partially accessible inside Gaza, for required items still available. However, knowing that the stringent closure on Gaza from land, air, and sea already affected all aspects of Gazan’s daily life, this intervention will also deliver winterization and food items through the Rafah entry point. With around 1.9 million internally displaced persons across the Gaza Strip, many residential areas inhabitable, and many farms and shops destroyed, the provision of winterisation and food items in Gaza is expected to meet several crucial humanitarian needs for the affected IDP families. The proposed intervention in Gaza, combining emergency food distribution and winterization efforts, is poised to bring a lifesaving impact to the crisis-affected population.
