To mitigate the third season of drought in the Togdheer region of Somaliland, the Danish CSO, Iftin Women's Organization, and the Somaliland CSO, Action for Rural Development – ARD, have joined forces in December 2021 to bring emergency relief to two villages Ali Issa and Bilcille with 380 families or roughly 2280 people. The humanitarian aid comes from Denmark via the Danish Emergency Relief Fund – DERF and consists of 80$ cash-based assistance and water rations to last a total of 2 months. This intervention will be monitored to avoid abuse, conflicts and promote accountability.
