Resume

The intervention will address the problem of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Morocco through women’s access to resources, socioeconomic rights, and opportunities. Both themes are given high political priority in Morocco through newly adopted policies. It is imperative that women’s rights organizations (WROs) get access to- and influence these: To ensure proper implementation and access by women survivors of GBV (WSGBV), especially those in rural communities. The intervention will develop the organizational capacity of LDDF-Injad and a network of 26 WROs to become leading and influential civil society actors in the fight against GBV. It will also, via rural outreach, ensure that women from rural- and underserved communities benefit from new policies and programs. Last, it will enhance the economic sustainability of LDDF-Injad’s protection and rehabilitation mechanisms to become sustainable best practice models providing protection, guidance as well as socio-economic support for WSGBV.
