Resume

We want to strengthen the capacity of civil society to better promote a bottom-up, pro-poor development, leading to a transition to sustainable energy and climate-neutral societies with a focus on local solutions. The intervention is expected to strengthen the global framework for CSOs that work for local sustainable energy solutions that reduce poverty, in particular within the International Network for Sustainable Energy (INFORSE) of CSOs. This shall include: 1) Strengthening the capacity of CSOs in dissemination local sustainable energy solutions and 2) Strengthening the ability of CSOs to promote sustainable energy and local solutions for inclusion in national, state and local level climate and development plans. The active INFORSE members in South Asia, Africa, and Latin America give first-hand knowledge of the development, climate issues and solutions. The direct target group is 90 member CSOs of INFORSE who will be invited for webinars, get access to material, networking etc.
