Resume

The current project “Zambezia Integrated Storm Ana Rapid Response (ZISAR)” is an immediate response to the impacts of tropical storm Ana in Zambezia Province, the centre of Mozambique. The project will benefit 750 vulnerable affected households (3,750 persons) including people with disability, forcibly internal people, women and girls. The main activities are clustered in providing food for emergency relief, assisting affected households with farming inputs and tools, providing training on good agricultural practices and promoting hygiene training. With these activities, vulnerable affected households will have access to food for immediate relief and vulnerable affected households will have restored their local farming through the distribution of seeds and tools and replantation of lost local crops to ensure food security. Ultimately, vulnerable affected households will have improved food security, reduce malnutrition and strengthen their resilience.
