Resume

Despite Tunisia being a pioneer in the MENA region with the adoption of the progressive Law 58 which aims to eliminate violence against women, women victims of violence in Tunisia continue to lack proper support and the protection they are entitled to as the implementation Law 58 is highly insufficient. In this project, AFC and Danner has partnered to address these issues and promote sustainable activities targeting multiple stakeholders in the fight for pushing for the implementation of Law 58’s proper implementation. This project will further develop AFC’s support to women victims of violence while also supporting the crucial advocacy work needed to establish sustainable and lasting changes in Tunisia. The project will target frontline stakeholders, such as judges, police and security forces, politicians and shelter staff to ensure a holistic approach in the fight to end violence against women in Tunisia.
