Resume

The overall goal of the intervention is that “vulnerable children and youth are protected from physical and online sexual abuse and exploitation”. To this end the intervention applies a three-pronged strategic framework to achieve immediate and long-term solutions. First, the intervention will contribute to strengthening the child protection system in Quezon City through capacity building and advocacy towards key duty-bearers. Second, the intervention will contribute increased awareness of sexual abuse and exploitation amongst at-risk children and youth through institutionalized awareness raising activities in the education sector. Third, the intervention will promote youth participation in child protection initiatives at city-level by mobilizing youth-led advocacy. The intervention will leave behind strengthened child protection policies and capacitated government agencies as well as sustainable community structures and a strong youth organization.
