Resume

As a continuation of the previous HAND intervention, this project will continue the work towards gender equality, but incorporate a new target group and approach. The aim is to strengthen and increase trust among local communities and stakeholders to further increase support for the 6 locally established female handball clubs. This new project will have a more targeted approach on the duty bearers and male stakeholders in the 6 local communities than earlier. Through the strengthening of trust among stakeholders, the project will also seek to retain as many girls as possible in the handball clubs. The six handball clubs have all been successful in mobilising and engaging young female players in playing handball, and we therefore wish to continue this effort through a targeted approach to retain as many of these girls as possible, to ensure they continue to enjoy playing handball and participating in the social community that it brings.
