Resume

Summary. The aim of the project is to create a sustainable change for 180 women from the Moshono district of Arsusha in relation to an increase in their current socio-economic status as well as a reduction in the gender-based exploitation and discrimination they experience. This will be done by establishing a Vocational &Skils training program. Here, the women will gain entrepreneurial skills and insight partly within three production courses and partly three courses aimed at establishing and developing their business. In connection with the courses, the women are offered to participate in a mentoring program, where they get guidance from experienced local businesspeople and to get inspiration from ten local business professionals through 10 different presentations. To make the change sustainable, women are offered from the start of the project to be part of Loan & Savings groups. In practice, this acts as the women's own bank.
