The drought crisis in Somalia is rapidly deteriorating and renewed famine is a strong possibility as it has been alerted by various organisations. Many people in the regions in Somaliland are facing food security crisis and emergency like the rest of the Somalia. The objective of this emergency responding project is to provide lifesaving food distribution to the people affected by the drought in Somaliland. The food distribution will take place in Faraweyne a district of Maroodi-jeex region. 3750 people, 750 household (HH) drought affected people will benefit from, mostly women, elders and children. Each family consists of approximate 5 members. The distribution point should be located as close to the beneficiaries as possible. The rural population are especially affected by the drought and their chances of survival are in the hands of charity and aid humanitarian intervention
