Resume

The project’s overall objective is to strengthen the organisational resilience and ease the operating environment of youth-led civil society organisations in Arua. 30 youth-led CSOs are targeted, with project activities directly engaging more than 300 youth. The CSOs gain increased knowledge and strengthened capacity to operate as effective civil society actors and strengthen capacity to advocate for a freer civic space through dialogue, legal and policy advocacy. The CSOs will be trained through a customized Civil Society Strengthening Academy, taking place as physical trainings and online sessions. They will develop plans for their organisational resilience and receive flex-funds to support these plans. A CSO hub is established in Arua as a shared space for youth-led CSOs in the city. Here, they gain access to networks, shared resources and engage in joint actions and advocacy for a freer civic space, targeted local government and local NGO forums and committees.
