Long-term objective of the intervention is to promote and secure the rights to good health and nutrition of inmates in Zambian Prisons through capacity building of relevant civil society organisations, new alliances, and advocacy towards duty bearers in Zambia for the development and implementation of the new Health Strategic Plan. Concretely, the intervention includes the development of a civil society advocacy plan to influence the development and implementation of a Health Strategic Plan for prisons, including an implementation plan for the priority areas mental health, nutrition and infectious diseases. The intervention also includes activities to promote cost-effective and sustainable solutions to improve health and nutrition.
