Resume

The project’s overall goal is to prevent human trafficking through a community-based Early Warning System in the districts of Ky Son and Tuong Duong, Nghe An province, Vietnam. The project will empower local leaders and civil society to understand and address the vulnerabilities that lead to human trafficking. The project will establish 6 anti-trafficking boards (ATBs) at commune level and 18 sub-ATBs at village level. The ATBs will operate in close cooperation with district and province agencies, including the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Police; Legal Support; Women’s Union and the Border Guard. The ATBs will screen their communities for at-risk households and individuals and assist them in finding solutions and/or suggest solutions and report to the relevant authorities. They will also conduct communication events to enhance awareness about trafficking. The project will build improved collaboration between civil society and authorities in the two districts.
