Resume

Peace and security have become a threat to the citizenry of the entire Northern Region. Crimes that people in this area used to hear from other parts of Ghana and Africa are now at the doorstep. Upon the establishment of a police unit in Kumbungu township to help curb the menace of crimes and ensure peace for the people, there’s a big gap between the people and the security personnel that has made it difficult for people to report suspected cases of crime and abuse in the communities, as the trust in the police system is very limited. The purpose of this project is bringing the police closer to people, to create a friendly relationship which will make it easier for people to reach out to the police when there is a suspected case. This will enable peace and justice in the homes of the people. The project will train young people as Youth Peace Ambassadors who will serve as a task force in the local communities to be vigilant and report to the police any case of suspected crime or abuse.
