Resume

The intervention is targeting IDPs in Baidoa, one of the hardest-hit cities. Over 1.24 million people are affected, with over 454,320 displaced as of 14 November. Southwest State is experiencing the major impact, with 37 % (454,320 people) of the total affected population. Baidoa in the Bay region is home to the largest IDP camps in Somalia. These IDPs currently confront a critical situation across various sectors, including a lack of shelter, food, safe drinking water, health services, and exposure to protection risks. The proposed intervention intends to provide immediate humanitarian aid, including Cash for Food, to the most vulnerable hh i IDPS camps in Baidaba. This intervention aims to enhance the well-being and resilience of vulnerable hh, by offering them a crucial lifeline in the aftermath of the crisis, improving their access to food and more secure living conditions in the short-term.
