Resume

The proposed project will respond to the crisis through a life-saving and stabilizing intervention (Modality 2) by paying monthly reimbursements and building the capacity of selected youth as street sports organizers and positive community role models. Lebanon Street Sports Relief (LSSR) will cover basic survival needs (food, water, shelter, etc.) for 70 households hosting an estimated 350 vulnerable individuals. This will increase the livelihood not just for the direct beneficiaries and their household but also for the wider community, as more cash will be sent in circulation. Proven to create income multipliers, this is an effective relief method prone to leave a significant positive impact on the community. Furthermore the social cohesion and empowerment will promote stabilization in a time when countering extremism is more important than ever, in order to keep the war in the neighboring country at the door.
