Resume

The intervention will reduce the acute hunger crisis of families living in the communities of Tortuguero and Iraheta in the dry corridor of the Santa Clara municipality, and by giving input to establishing nutritional agro-ecological gardens that guarantee a diverse diet at different times of the year and increasing the families protein intake, the intervention gives input and capacities to prevent and mitigate food insecurity and scarcity of the families more permanently. Improving access to being self-sufficient with food will have a positive impact on nutrition, education, health and the reduction of gender inequalities, which will strengthen the resilience of communities living in the dry corridor to cope with future crises.
