Resume

Inspired by the second Avatar movie “The Way of Water” and its following Avatar video game, “Frontiers of Pandora”, to be launched in 2022-2023, Forests of the World and its Panamanian partner organisation Geoversity engages Danish gamers in solving real world human rights and environmental challenges in an indigenous Emberá and Wounaan territory, located adjacent to the Panama Canal. A digital prototype mobilisation and engagement platform with a global scale up potential will be developed and put into practice in collaboration with Vallekilde Højskole’s gamer students and faculty and professionals from the Danish e-sport and gaming industry. Danish gamers. The initiative builds on the fact that Geoversity brought the video game company Ubisoft to Panama and inspired its Avatar game developers. Panama is Pandora and Danish gamers will act through their avatars in the defence of forest and indigenous peoples.
