Strengthening participatory democracy through media and civil society organizations The development objective is to strengthen The Gambian citizens’ active participation in new democratic elections. The immediate objectives are coherently: 1 - To give the voters access to high quality electoral coverage such as fact-checking news reports and podcasts/radio amplifying the voices of the voters 2 - To provide the local populations a reliable coverage in their local languages 3 - To provide the national debate with the perspectives of the target groups of 16 selected CSOs
