Resume

IAS will intervene in Borena Zone, South East Ethiopia among a pastoralist population in a very marginalized area where people and livestock are soon dying due to deterioration and drought. The intervention strategy is based on water trucking for three months and on awareness campaigns on Sanitation and Health. The intervention is coordinated with the Zonal governed authorities and IAS is using existing staff and volunteers to carry out the intervention. IAS has good standing with the people and local government due to a presence in the area since 2013. IAS will follow up the intervention after the project period with household follow up and possibly drilling of boreholes.
