Resume

The overall aim of this intervention is to improve the rights and lives of people with disabilities in Sierra Leone through strengthening of the collaboration between CSO’s working in this field. This will be done by the founding of a National Sports Federation for people with disabilities ensuring a strong, united voice of people with disabilities. Capacity building workshops and sports activities will be conducted in order to strengthen the informal network of organisations supporting people with disabilities and prepare for the formalisation of the National Sports Federation. Through different sport activities/campaigns/events and capacity building workshops the organisations have gained new knowledge and experiences about how to use sport when engaging in advocacy activities on behalf of PLWD (Persons Living With Disabilities).
