Resume

The overall objective of this project is to create inclusive access to Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and services among young persons with disabilities (YPWD) in Kibera. YPWD are at increased risk of violence, sexual abuse, and exploitation and are particularly vulnerable, yet YPWD are often excluded from SRHR programs and experience additional barriers when trying to exercise their SRHR and access SRH services. In this project, we want to address these challenges through 3 outcomes focused on the school, the community, and the duty bearer levels. We aspire to achieve the intended outcomes by implementing well-tested methods of sexual education in Kenyan classrooms with innovative methods of creating inclusive sexual educational material for YPWD - and safe spaces for the out-of-school youth. The project will target new target groups to create an impact on the overall SRHR challenges - and support the sustainability of inclusive SRH information and services for YPWD.
