The proposed project enables the targeted hh to have enough water for human and livestock consumption to meet their basic needs through the rehabilitation of a medium Dam of 50m long, 30m wide, and 4m deep at Idhanka-deeroyahanka village; dam construction will also include storage tanks of 5m3, solar system, animal troughs, one kiosk for people, a silt trap to filter out sand and waste, a fence to protect the area, and a caretaker room and store. The dam will provide water to the total population of 3.240 in Idhanka-deeroyahanka and 5.500 to 6.000 livestock. The intervention will ensure that the population in the villages has sufficient water for drinking and domestic use throughout the year.
