Resume

The project’s overall objective is to create engagement on the topic of sustainability and climate change amongst Danish artists and youth. This will be achieved by working with art strategically and engage Danish artists in making performances at 2 festivals and a folk high school that can inspire and engage a young audience to act sustainably. This intervention will bring together Danish artists with an interest in addressing global issues on climate change and its effects with likeminded artists in Ghana. By creating a collaboration between the two groups the project seeks to promote cross-border reflection, debate and artistic co-creation and build the artists’ capacity to use their art to promote change. These skills and artworks will be used to engage young Danes in “artivism” . The artworks and performances made and exhibited will provide the guests with new perspectives on the complexities of sustainability and inspiration to what they themselves can do.
