Resume

Every hour, irreplaceable nature is lost to the wildfires in eastern Bolivia. Local families are suffering the consequences and the loss of crops and livestock. The few natural water resources have dried out or made undrinkable by the ashes from the extensive fires. The situation is critical, and the Santa Cruz Department declared an emergency in August. To respond to the crisis the FCBC-EAA-Partnership has launched a relief campaign with a focus on affected families in remote villages which, due to lack of resources, have not yet received humanitarian assistance. The next two months, clean water and seeds will be distributed to affected communities, local emergency brigades established, equipped and trained in firefighting to extinguish the current wildfires and avoid new wildfires.
