Resume

The overall purpose of this intervention; is to contribute to youth in local underserved communities in Nakuru being less prone to participate in crime and violent acts, and for the overall frequency of youth inflicted crime and violence (including SGBV) to drop in the targeted areas. This we will do through weekly street sport activities by engaging youth and children; giving children life-skills and youth a chance to develop themselves as role models and local change-makers – and through Playmaker engagement and tournaments to strengthen social cohesion between ethnic, politically and economically divided neighbourhoods. We will also use street sport create leadership, agency and increase capacity among youth to engage in dialogue and political processes, with local stakeholders such as police, local communities and gov, on curbing violence, and promoting social cohesion.
