Resume

Continuing Safe in the City programme, we strive to increase the safety, inclusion, and empowerment of young women with a focus on the cities Freetown, Makeni, and Kono in Sierra Leone. In this project, we do this by strengthening the Safe in the City partners´ capacity to address violence against women and girls, while we continue to support and explore potentials of i) school-based interventions against violence through collaboration with non-formal education institutions; and ii) community and socio-economic interventions through collaboration with women-led youth groups. We will also expand on our advocacy networks within the education sector and among women-led organisations in Sierra Leone, and team up with a GBV technical advisor team to boost our capacity to apply a gender perspective across our broader work with young people in cities.
