Resume

In strong synergy with existing activities under the partnership of Christian Youth Volunteers Association Trust (CYVAT) , Engineers Without Borders Denmark (EWB-DK) and Care4People (C4P), partners will initiate a school meal program with a minor component of school gardening in order to secure future sustainability and community resilience. The intervention is found relevant and timely in particular due to the present food (in)security situation. CYVAT’s long standing experience engaging with local civil society platform in particular at primary school level secures localization and local ownership of the intervention in question. In combination with solid local engagement contributed by CYVAT, the partnership provides for well-established practice of cooperation due to the long-standing relation between CYVAT and C4P (including EWB-DK since 2016), and EWB-DKs knowledge of humanitarian interventions and of how to secure CHS into the intervention from other regions of the world (Sierra Leone, Pakistan, Haiti and Indonesia). Further, explicit knowledge and experience of Zimbabwean school feeding programs is held by the Danish project team members.
