In Kachin State, Myanmar, amidst escalating conflict, this initiative by Myanmar Action Group Denmark/Chin Community Denmark and Kachin Women’s Association Thailand aims to support IDPs suffering from malnutrition, hygiene inaccessibility, and healthcare deprivation. Targeting vulnerable displaced populations in Bhamo and Hpa-Kant, our intervention provides: 1) a month's food supply for 550 IDPs, enhancing food security; 2) hygiene kits for 200 young women, improving sanitary conditions; 3) hospital access and transport for 10 expectant/new mothers, addressing critical healthcare needs. This effort ensures basic needs are met, preventing health issues post-displacement and improving maternal and infant health.
